Any Irish Brides nowadays? Is someone else getting married in Ireland?
Congrats Cait soon to get then exactly just what place have u picked?
Littleredhead a good option for a hen do regarding the west coast will be galway for me – in fact il prob have mine there but if u are goin in a big group be mindful to get into pubs in smaller teams just as if they kno u really are a hen u could possibly get turned away.
As much i wouldnt recommend a hen there as i love sligo! Plus galway comes with an airport where u can travel in from a good few areas
Our company is surviving in manchester and hopin to maneuver home quickly but have always been finding it hard to make any plans bein to date away – the world-wide-web is my saviour and e-mail my best friend (therefore sad) lol!
Im up in Northern Ireland. I have hitched in Belfast in 25 times.
Ooh, many thanks for the advice – but can we ask; why could you perhaps perhaps perhaps not recommend Sligo? Will it be as it’s quiet and small? If therefore, which is what i am in search of!
I must say I want someplace we could lease a cottage nearby the shore, opt for long coastline walks and discover a lovely cosy but lively pub, as opposed to pubs or clubs, for the evenings!
I am aware it seems actually stupid and like We fall for everything I see on television, but i’d like the type of Ireland the truth is in movies like PS I favor you – with plenty of rurally goodness and conventional music. H2B’s parents are Irish (though he is never resided there) so we’re having a couple of nods to this in the marriage (Irish ceilidh rather than a disco. Can not wait! ) as each of us are actually taken with Irish music, dance and tradition. I’d like to proceed with the theme on my hen night too!
I’M Irish and residing in Cheshire. Maybe not planning to get hitched in Ireland but i might imagine we’re going to have celebration for relatives and buddies who cant make.
Littleredhead – I agree with Bacon become, Galway is a great spot to get and you may usually find trad music etc in tiny pubs and its particular on the coastline also. Possibly go out a little further towards Clifden after which the option is had by you of going into Galway in the event that you have a bit bored stiff or even for materials.
Gorgeous an element of the nation however.
It really is little not a lot of clubs and that’s why i wouldnt reccomend it for that – but coastline wise we do involve some gorgeous ones esp aughris head beach which includes a beach that is small having a thatched roof. Then again u are very far out of anythig else actually – galway has a great mixture of both great beaches great environment and then i would reccomend Taffes bar on shop st! Always a great band there with a great atmosphere if what u are looking for is a ceili
If u look up sligo beaches there maybe a few more – strandhill is just a lovely destination with a number of bars (likewise have trad music too) and breathtaking coastline (really where mr bacon proposed. )
Hope that can help
I am a bride that is irish residing in Manchester atm, but going back to the north coastline in about per month roughly (originally from Lisburn), H2B has his dream job there – yey!! Sooo. Wedding preparation is likely to be a good deal easier. We’re engaged and getting married on June 26th at Lusty Beg in Fermanagh. I am so freaking excited already!! Meeep!!
Every other Fermanagh b2b’s?
Aw my cousin had hers in Lusty Beg a few years back.
It had been STRIKING!
I had mine in Belfast Castle! =
Wow, many thanks for most of the advice, particularly considering we completely hijacked your thread! I obtained overexcited and talked to my MOH about any of it; we are really now taking a look at Sligo and County Cork. Not the populous town it self, but someplace more rural when you look at the county.
I will be from Sligo, surviving in London and having hitched in Italy i am aware exactly what your going through with perhaps not being here to organise etc. Can be very stressfull. Where will you be marrying and where is reception??
I am from Belfast, but are now living in Cambridge, and I also’m engaged and getting married in Belfast.

Littleredhead – if you should be taking a look at cork clonakilty is a lcoation that is great some lovely restaurants and pubs with real time music plus some great beaches into the vicinity
MrsMac2010 – i will be also from Ireland (carlow) residing in London and having married in Italy; o)
LittleRedHead -I got hitched in Cork City final October!!
We married into the North Cathedral and had our reception in Blarney. Location-wise it is superb and never too much through the town either. You’ll have your picture’s taken during the castle helping to make a backdrop that is lovely allowing. Day unfortunately, we weren’t able to take advantage of this as it rained (unusually for Ireland!! ) on our wedding!
We had been straight back in the location on Sunday for the anniversary dinner, and simply took place to look into their wedding brochures. They will have some fantastic packages there which appear really value that is good cash.
There is also a sister hotel in Bunratty, Co Clare which can be simply gorgeous! We invested our vacation here following a small tragedy with the first resort we booked, and additionally they could not do sufficient for all of us!
Hope this can help. Email me personally if you’d like further assistance or info.
BTW – should you elect to head to Galway, DON’T go right to the Galway Bay. That has been where we’d an emergency using the spaces, together with to go to Bunratty. The ‘G’ is more preferable IMO.

Hi I’d my hen week-end at Lough Rynn a year ago, it really is therefore stunning, we remained in the accommodation thats into the grounds, high grade accommodation. Had lunch in Lough rynn it was lovely, it had been so cosy the direction they have actually the split seating areas it’s like getting your very very own family area, the top room for which you may have your pre supper drinks was lovely, that they had the biggest christmas tree up. Looking to return in 2010 for the anniversary that is first and at Lough rynn. Enjoy all the prep for the wedding I happened to be on this kind of downer whenever ours had been over.
